Abbeydale is the segment of the City of Sheffield, England that follows the valley of the river Sheaf. It covers many districts of Sheffield in the southwest of the city running roughly from Heeley Bridge in the district of Heeley to Dore Road between Beauchief and Totley. It is named for the Abbey that existed at Beauchief from the 12th century to 1537.

Although not the official name of any district, many businesses, and institutions in the valley use Abbeydale in their name.

Abbeydale Road is served by a frequent network of buses for connections to Sheffield and Derbyshire villages.

Abbeydale Park, Sheffield, England

Abbeydale Park is a sports venue in Dore, South Yorkshire, England. It is unusual in having hosted home games for two different county cricket teams.

The park is now home to a variety of sports, including squash, hockey, badminton, table tennis, racketball, bowls, rugby, and lacrosse in addition to cricket.

Abbeydale Park is served by a frequent network of buses for connections to Sheffield and Derbyshire villages.

Abbey Dore, Herefordshire, England, HR2


Abbey Dore is a village and civil parish in Herefordshire, England, known for Dore Abbey, a 12th-century Cistercian abbey, expanded in the 13th century. The village is situated in the Golden Valley, and has a population of 342, increasing to 385 at the 2011 Census. Abbey Dore Court has large gardens open to the public in spring and summer.

Abbeydore railway station closed in 1941. It was on the Great Western Railway branch line linking Pontrilas and Hay-on-Wye.

Abbey Field, Essex, England

Abbey Field is an urban settlement in Essex, adjacent to Colchester town center and New Town. It is home to many community events in Colchester. Part of the Colchester Garrison is located on Abbey Fields, as well as a TA center and medical practice.

Abbeydale and Abbeymead, Gloucestershire, England

The hamlet of Abbey Gate lies to the south of the town near the A35 and A358 intersection.

Other villages within 5 miles (8.0 km) of Axminster include Chardstock, Colyford, Combpyne, Dalwood, Hawkchurch, Kilmington, Membury, Musbury, Raymond’s Hill, Rousdon, Shute, Smallridge, Tytherleigh, Uplyme and Whitford.
